Instacart & ALDI Team Up to Help Neighbors in Need on #GivingTuesday

As part of our commitment to giving the gift of groceries this holiday season, we’re proud to announce a new partnership with our retail partner ALDI for #GivingTuesday.
This year on #GivingTuesday — a global day of giving fueled by the power of social media and collaboration — we’re teaming up with ALDI to help make a difference and provide for families in need. For every ALDI order made through Instacart on November 27, ALDI will donate a meal — up to 1 million meals* — to Feeding America. Instacart will also waive the delivery fee for all ALDI orders of $35 or more, donating the value of each waived delivery fee to the organization.
We kicked off our partnership with Feeding America earlier this month with a full Week of Service. Last week, hundreds of Instacart employees across 21 cities in the United States and Canada volunteered at local Feeding America and Food Banks Canada-affiliate food banks. From sorting fresh produce to packaging food items, volunteers lended a hand at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, Daily Bread Food Bank, Food Bank of Western New York, Houston Food Bank, Maryland Food Bank, and SF Marin Food Bank, among others. For every hour employees volunteered during the Week of Service, Instacart proudly donated 300 meals to Feeding America resulting in a donation of more than 300,000 meals.
Together, we’re proud to give back to our local communities this holiday season and play our part in supporting families in need.
*$1 helps provide 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local member food banks. ALDI guarantees a commitment of $100,000.
